Many people want to know what is a PTO. It is basically the same thing as a PTA with a few exceptions. The most notable difference is that 100% dues goes to the children. A percentage of PTA dues is paid out to state and national affiliations. Second, the bylaws are less restrictive and allow for co-positions. We have written all the positions to allow for co’s except for the treasurer positions.
